Our Story

It All Started with Two Little Goats Called Bill & Ben

In April 2025, we bought Bill and Ben โ€” two adorable Anglo Nubian wethers (castrated males) โ€” as pets. They were being bottle-fed and needed it for a good few weeks. The breeder kindly sent some of their mum's milk to mix with milk replacer during the transition.

Now, Lynda had tried goat milk before and wasn't a fan โ€” it had that typical "goaty" smell and taste. But when she tried the milk that came with the babies, she was pleasantly surprised. It was creamy, sweet, and nothing like she expected. She actually rang the breeder to double-check it really was goat milk!

That phone call changed everything. Lynda and her family have always been big milk drinkers, so the decision was made โ€” buy a goat in milk. Welcome Delores, and the start of a vision: DE-G-LORES's.

Today, we have five beautiful milking goats in rotation. Each one is cared for, loved, and treated like family. Because happy goats make the best milk.

Why Raw Goat Milk?

The Good Stuff

๐Ÿ’ง

Easier to Digest

Raw goat milk has smaller fat globules and a different protein structure, making it gentler on your stomach than conventional dairy.

๐ŸŒฟ

Completely Natural

No pasteurisation, no homogenisation, no additives. Just pure, raw milk the way nature intended.

๐Ÿ

Happy, Healthy Goats

Our goats are free-range, well-fed, and loved. Healthy animals produce the best quality milk โ€” it's that simple.

๐Ÿ“

Hyper-Local

From our goats to your glass in Derbyshire. No long supply chains, no middlemen. Fresh as it gets.

The Heart of DE-G-LORES's

Meet the Herd

Our goats aren't just livestock โ€” they're family. Every single one is loved, named, and cared for with the attention they deserve.

Delores, the goat who started it all

This is Delores ๐Ÿ’š

The one who started it all. Delores is a beautiful Nubian goat with the sweetest temperament. She's the reason DE-G-LORES's exists today.

We now have five milking goats in rotation, each with their own personality. They graze on lush Derbyshire pastures, and we believe their happiness is what makes our milk taste so incredible.

The Super Mums ๐Ÿ†

Rita & Rosemary

Our dynamic duo! Rita (red collar) is the smiley one โ€” you'll often catch her beaming at the camera. Rosemary (purple collar) is the quieter, more thoughtful sister.

Rosemary kidded on 20th January 2026, followed by Rita just two days later on the 22nd โ€” and both had triplets! That's six gorgeous kids between them. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ

Their trios have just been weaned at 10 weeks. Mum's milk is still being used to bottle-feed the kids, with some now available for us to enjoy too! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Meet Matilda

Matilda is a gorgeous cross between an Anglo Nubian and a Saanen โ€” giving her that striking white coat and gentle nature. She's expecting kids around 18th April 2026, and we couldn't be more excited!

Once her kids are weaned at around 10โ€“12 weeks, Matilda will join the milking rotation. Her milk will be lighter and less creamy than a pure Nubian's โ€” a bit like semi-skimmed โ€” perfect for those who prefer a milder taste.

Meet Claudia

Born in May 2025, Claudia is our youngest and most confident girl. She'll strut right up to the camera like she owns the place โ€” because she basically does.

Claudia is currently living her best life as a lady of leisure, enjoying the Derbyshire pastures without a care in the world. She'll join the milking herd in 2027, but for now, she's perfecting the art of being adorable.
